Daily Task Tracker is a Chrome extension for tracking daily tasks with an optional points/rewards system. Signing in with Google is optional and turns on two features together: read-only Google Calendar import and cross-device Cloud Sync. This page explains what data the extension collects, why, and how you can control or remove it.

We do not collect browsing history, contacts, payment information, health data, or any data unrelated to the features above. We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not show ads.
Where your data lives
By default, everything stays on your device — tasks, points, and history are stored locally in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB and chrome.storage). Nothing leaves your computer unless you sign in with Google, which turns on the two features below together.
Google Calendar import (when signed in): the extension reads your upcoming Calendar events (read-only) from Google directly into your browser and turns them into tasks. We use this data only to show those tasks to you.
Cloud Sync (when signed in): your tasks, points transaction history, and reward redemption history are stored on a database we operate (Cloudflare D1, via a Cloudflare Workers backend), keyed to your Google Account so the same data can be pulled down on your other devices. Because imported Calendar events are stored as tasks, the title, description, and time of those events are stored in this database too. This is the only scenario where your task, points, or Calendar-derived data leaves your device. Signing out in Settings stops both features and any further uploads, but does not delete data already stored on our database (see Deletion below).
Feedback (only when you send it): the form asks for an optional star rating, a message, a feedback type, and optional contact details. When you press send, this is stored on the same database as Cloud Sync. It is sent anonymously unless you are signed in with Google (then it is linked to your account so we can reply) or you type contact details yourself. Sending feedback never uploads your tasks, points, or Calendar data.
How we use your data
Solely to provide the features you've enabled: displaying and managing your tasks, calculating points/rewards, importing Calendar events, syncing your data across your own devices, and reading and answering the feedback you send.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or analytics.
We do not read your data (including Calendar-derived data), except where needed to give you support you asked for, to investigate abuse or a security incident, or to comply with the law.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party, except the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the features you've turned on (Google, for sign-in and Calendar access; Cloudflare, for Cloud Sync storage) — each governed by their own privacy policy.

Data retention and deletion
Local data is removed automatically when you uninstall the extension or clear its site data in Chrome.
If you've signed in with Google, your synced data (including imported Calendar events stored as tasks) remains in our database until you ask us to delete it. To request full deletion of your cloud-stored data (including any feedback you sent), email us at the address below with the Google Account email you used with the extension — we will delete it within 30 days.
You can export a full copy of your local data at any time from the extension's Settings (JSON export) before requesting deletion.
Security
Cloud Sync requests are authenticated using a Google-issued access token, which our backend verifies directly with Google before returning or accepting any data — we do not use passwords, and we do not accept a client-claimed identity without that verification. Each account can only read and write its own data.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest by our infrastructure provider. It is not end-to-end encrypted, meaning the operator of the service has technical access to it — which is why we limit when we look at it, as described above.
Children's privacy
Daily Task Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after a change means you accept the updated policy.
